Through all her life, Doris was a devoted and loving mother, wife, grandmother and faithful servant to her Lord. People often spoke with admiration of her beautiful gardens and baking skills. She was a tender and gentle lady that loved to giggle and enjoy simple pleasures. Many nights were filled with song and dance with the family. She has left an imprint on so many hearts by her gracious acts of kindness. Doris will be deeply missed by her family and friends. Special thanks are extended to the caring staff of Agrace Hospice, Fitchburg; Highland Park Hospital, Highland Park, Ill.; and Sunrise Assisted Living, Buffalo Grove, Ill., for the care she received after her stroke.
