Note: Monday, June 26, 1939 - The Capital Times newspaper in Madison, Wisconsin BLACK EARTH (WISC) - About 125 attended the annual reunion Sunday of the Rundhaug - Knudtson family held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur T. Knudtson in this village. The Rev. Hector Gunderson spoke on his trip to New York city where he attended the convention of the eastern district of the Norwegian Lutheran church of America and visited the fair. Valborg Forshaug, Mt. Horeb, gave a Norwegian reading. The Skalet and Knudtson children sang.
Couple Is Honored - In honor of the 49th wedding anniversary of Mr. and Mrs. Mike Mickelson and the birthday of Mrs. Mickelson, a cake had been decorated in their honor. Mr. Mickelson was unable to attend, because of ill health. but Mrs. Mickelson was present. Feature of the reunion was a canning kettle filled with romme cooked and brought to the reunion by Mrs. Kjersti Knudtson, Blanchardville. Officers elected Sunday are: Carl Olson, Blanchardville. president; Miss Berthina Rundhaug. Blanchardville, vice president; Raymond Lee, Cross Plains, secretary; and K. S. Rundhaug. Blanchardville, treasurer. Next year's reunion win be held at the farm home of Mr. and Mrs. Seymour Gilbertson in Vermont township. Present Sunday were: H. Benson and family, K. S.
