a. Note:   OBIT - Mrs. Olson Rites Held Monday Mrs. James Olson, 82, a lifelong Blue Mounds resident, passed away Friday, July 8, 1966, in a Dogeville hospital after a brief illness. The former Sara Odness was a member of the Royal Neighbors lodge. Surviving are her husband; a son, James, Madison; a daughter, Mrs. William Brassington, Denver, Colorado; a granddaughter and two great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Monday in the West Blue Mounds Lutheran Church with the Rev. Robert Twiton officiating. Interment was in the church cemetery. The Gesme-Ellestad Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Pallbearers were: Jack Wirth, Kermit Smith, Sigurd Sand, Adolf Marty, Harold Baumgartner, Blue Mounds and Otto Topper, Mazomanie. Card of Thanks Our sincere thanks to all our relatives, friends and neighbors for their many acts of kindness and sympathy shown us at the time of the loss of our dear wife and mother. We also wish to thank John Ellestad of the Gesme-Ellestad Funeral Home; the pallbearers, members of the Ladies Aid Society of Blue Mounds Lutheran Church who served the lunch, those who so generously donated food for the lunch, those who sent cards of sympathy, flowers, memorials or helped in any way.
