a. Note:   Daily Journal, March 29, 1879, page 1 of 1 page, Logansport, Indiana - A Drunkard's Death. Madison, Wis.,.March 28.- At Black Earth yesterday. The body of a man named Andrew Munson was found in a sitting posture in the rear of a saloon. A man named Severson was arrested on a charge of killing Munson, they having been seen together some hours prior to the finding of the body. Severson had money belonging to Munson which he claimed was given him for safekeeping. The verdict of the Coroner's inquest was that death was caused from drunkenness. Severson was discharged.
  The Janesville Gazette, March 29, 1879, page 1 of 1 page, Janesville, Wisconsin - WHISKY A Norwegian Farmer Found MADISON, Wis., March 28 - A Norwegian farmer named Andrew Munson, living two miles from Black Earth, was found in the rear of John Muskals' saloon in that village last night, dead. Another Norwegian farmer named Severson, who had been seen in Munson's company, was arrested on suspicion of murdering him, but the coroner's jury found a verdict that Munson came to his death from persistent drinking of whisky, and he was discharged.
  April 2, 1879 Black Earth Advertiser At about 11:30 o'clock last Tuesday our little berg was suddenly thrown into quite a commotion due to the announcement that the body of Andrew Monson, a Norwegian farmer in the town of Vermont, had been found by Mr J. Q. Stuart at the rear of John Muskat's saloon.
