  Halvor and Olia were married in a little stone church (Perry Congregation). The church was built in 1858. This church is still a part of a large church near Mt. Horeb, WI in a little town called Daleyville. Their witnesses were: Nils Boadfer and Holaa Halvorson. Organized Norwegian Evangelical Lutheran Church of Perry, Dane Co., Nov. 5. 1854. Built stone church in Daleyville in 1858.
  Halvor and Olia Hoberg lived around Mt. Horeb, WI for 20 years - then moved to Farmington, MN in 1885 and lived there for 9-10 years. They moved to Lac Qui Parle Co. and settled near Boyd, MN. in 1895. He bought 320 Acres of land and Anton, his son, bought 80 acres. (Madison, MN court House)
  Newspaper Obituary - Death Takes Old Resident
  Our citizens were shocked to hear of the death, Saturday of Mrs. H. H. Hoberg, which occurred suddenly at her home in this village. Aside from a slight lung affection the past two weeks she has been having health, and her death came unexpectedly. It seems that the lung affliction had suddenly affected her heart, causing the severing of life's cord.
  Deceased was born in Valders, Norway, and at the time of her demise had attained the age of 79 years, 7 months and 13 days. At the age of nine years she came to America, the family taking up their residence at Blue Mounds, Dane Co., WI. January 3rd, 1863, she was united in marriage to Halvor H. Hoberg. They resided in Wisconsin 20 years and then moved to Farmington, Minn., from where nine years later they came to the Boyd community and took up residence on a farm one mile south of town. Twelve years ago they moved into their home in this village where Mr. Hoberg passed away in Mar., 1915. The deceased is survived by eight children, viz. Mrs. Bertha Lidgerdine of Lakeville, Erick of Montevideo, Charles and Ole of Burnstad, ND, John of Paulsbo, WA, and Anton, Henry and Mollie of Boyd. She is also survived by a sister, residing at Volga, SD and a brother, Hans Erickson of Sinai, SD.
  Funeral services were conducted Tuesday afternoon from the Trinity Lutheran Church in this village, Rev. Martin Lien officiating. All of the children were present except John, who was unable to come. The services were very largely attended and there were many floral tributes. The pall bearers were five of the deceased's sons and her brother. Interment took place in the Boyd cemetery. ______________________________________________________________________ ____ _____________ Was not listed with the rest of her Erickson family in the 1870 Black Earth, Wisconsin census.
