Note: Minnie Mae Roberts, age 84, of Arena, died on Friday, April 21, 2000 at Maplewood Nursing Home in Sauk City (Wisconsin). She was born on January 11, 1916 in Blue Mounds, the daughter of Ole and Lena (Odness) Topper. On November 4, 1936 she was united in marriage to Marvin H. Roberts. Minnie was a member of the Arena Bible Church. She enjoyed gardening, working with her flowers and collecting butterflies. Survivors include two daughters: Betty (Roger) Kasiska, of Prairie du Sac and Shirley (Carl) Anding, of Arena; seven grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; two sisters: Olga Eggum (Matthew C. Eggum, husband), of Mount Horeb and Helen Topper (husband), of Merrill; many nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin, on November 29, 1999; four brothers: Clarence, Otto, John and Melvin Topper; and three sisters: Mabel Barron, Selina Erickson and Alice Miller (Fred or Alfred Miller, husband). Funeral services will be conducted at 11:30 a.m. on Monday at the Arena Bible Church in Arena with Rev. Larry Pierce officiating. Interment will be in the Arena Cemetery. There will be a visitation from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service on Monday at the church. The Hoof Funeral Home in Reedsburg is serving the family.
