a. Note:   Anna 'Annie' Marie Topper
  Anna 'Annie' Marie Topper was born in Blue Mounds, Dane Co., Wisconsin in 1868 to Thore and Sarah (Akeren) Topper. She was the second-born, the only daughter of eight children: Ole, Annie, Thorvald, Martin, Olaf, John T., Andrew, Theodore.
  In May 1905 she married William Charles Leacey in Spokane Co., Washington. On their marriage license his residence is Porthill, Idaho. Porthill is in Boundary Co., near the Canadian border leading into British Columbia. His age on his marriage license was 38. It was his second marriage. He was a hotelkeeper.
  William Leacey was born in 1867 in Nova Scotia, Canada to Henry and Jessie Ann (Dwyer) Lacy, sometimes spelled Leacy, Lacy and Lacey. He died in 1916 and is buried in British Columbia, Canada.
  William and Annie had two daughters: Sadie and Jessie. 1. Sadie was born in December 1906 in Elko, BC, Canada. She married William Roth in King Co., Washington in August 1945. Their daughter Jeannette 'Jeannie' M. Roth was born in 1947. Sadie Roth died near Seattle on Vashon Island, King Co., WA in 2004. She is buried in Evergreen-Washelli Memorial Park Cemetery in Washington. 2. Jessie was born Jan. 4, 1910 in Elko, BC, Canada and died when she was 27 days old.
  The 1930 census reveals widowed Annie living with her daughter Sadie in the Women's Hotel in Spokane city, WA. Sadie is the owner and operator of a beauty salon in the hotel.
  Annie died in August 1942 in Eastern State Hospital in Medical Lake, Spokane Co., Washington. She is buried at Greenwood Memorial Terrace Cemetery in Spokane, Washington. ____________________
