Note: WISCONSIN STATE JOURNAL - WAUNAKEE - Marilyn Maly, age 54, died on Tuesday, April 24, 1990, at a Madison hospital following a courageous battle with leukemia. The former Marilyn Topper was born on August 19, 1935, to John and Gladys Topper in Mt. Horeb. She was married to Silvan Maly on February 21, 1957 in Martinsville. Marilyn was a great part of her husband's business, Sil Maly Builders and Realty. She was a member of St. John's Catholic Church in Waunakee. Survivors include her husband, Silvan; two daughters, Lynette (Larry) Kippley of Waunakee, Carol (Mike) Murphy of Delavan; two sons, Mike (his fiance, Kim) of Waunakee, Pat (and a close friend, Maureen) of Waunakee; four grandchildren, Clint and Crystal Kippley, and Shawn and Brittany Murphy; three sisters, Doris (Bill) Squire of Racine, Verna Gasdorf of Madison, Janice (Marvin) Monson of Barneveld; three brothers, Wesley (Elmere) Topper of Mt. Horeb, Russell (Theresa) Topper of Monona, John (Linda) Topper of Madison; and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 27, 1990, at 2:00 p.m. at the Winn Funeral Home in Waunakee and at 2:30 p.m. at St. John's Catholic Church. Reverend Monte Robinson will celebrate the Mass. Friends may call on Thursday, April 26, 1990, from 2 until 8 p.m. at the Winn Funeral Home, where a rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. Burial will take place in the church cemetery.
