  MRS. JULIA MCKINLEY, 83, EX-MT. HOREB RESIDENT, DEAD
  Mt. Horeb--Mrs. Julia McKinley, 83, died Friday in the home of her daughter, Mrs. Harry Barker, Verona, with whom she had lived for several years. She would have been 84 on August 16. Mrs. McKinley was a former Mt. Horeb resident. She was born in Norway, coming to America when she was 7 years old with her parents. Her husband, John, to whom she was married in 1896, died in 1932. Her survivors include a son, John, 921 O'Sheridan St., Madison, chef at the Hoffman House Restaurant there. Also surviving are five other daughters, Mrs. Richard Lanning and Mrs. Edwin Lanning, both of Rockford, Ill.; Mrs. John Rafferty, Plainfield; Mrs. Patrick Ryan Jr., Ridgeway; and Mrs. Clarence Rinehart, Milton Juntion; another son, Christopher, Milwaukee; two sisters, Mrs. Albert Mickelson, Arena; and Mrs. James Olson, Blue Mounds; 28 grandchildren; and 17 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 9 a.m. Monday in St. Ignatius' Catholic Church, Mt. Horeb. The Rev. Andrew Breines will officiate and burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. The rosary will be recited at 8 Sunday night at the Gesme Funeral Home here, and friends may call there after 2 p.m. Sunday. [published in The Capital Times; Saturday, August 9, 1958]
