a. Note:   Alfred and Selena (Topper) Erickson lived on and worked the farm of Alfred's parents, Andrew and Mary Erickson, from 1915 to 1928, after which they moved to Mt. Horeb, Wisconsin. They also lived in her parents' Odness home near Little Norway as well as in Prairie du Sac, WI.
  Obituary - Alfred Erickson (1959) BLUE MOUNDS--Alfred Erickson, 76, Blue Mounds, a lifelong resident of this area, died in a Madison hospital Monday night after a brief illness. He was formerly caretaker of the Mt. Horeb Golf Course. He is survived by his wife, the former Selena Topper of Blue Mounds; one daughter, Mrs. Truman Dunlap (Ethel), Watertown; two sisters, Mrs. Elmer Mickelson and Mrs. Otelia Barsness, both of Black Earth; and two grandchildren. Friends may call at the Gesme Funeral Home, Mt. Horeb, after 2 p.m. Thursday. Funeral rites will be held Friday at 2 p.m. in the Vermont Lutheran Church, with the Rev. O. S. Solberg officiating. Burial will be at the church cemetery.
