a. Note:   obituary in Terre Haute Tribune, May 24, 1935 - Mrs. Lyda Keener, 71 years old, formerly of Terre Haute, died at 1:30 o'clock Thursday afternoon, at the residence in Anderson. She is survived by the husband Frank; two sons, Fred Patterson and Clyde Patterson of Terre Haute; one daughter, Mrs. Grace (Patterson) Hiser of Anderson; one stepson, Harold Keener of Evansville; one stepdaughter, Mrs. Claude Easter (formerly Ethel Keener); four brothers, William and Lee Jeffers of Terre Haute; Jack Jeffers of the state of Washington and Charlie Jeffers of Michigan; one sister, Miss Emma Jeffers of Michigan**; and four grandchildren.* The body was brought to the Gillis Funeral Home and will be removed at 1 o'clock Saturday afternoon to the home of the son Fred Patterson, 409 South Eighteeth Street, from where funeral services will be held Sunday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock, with burial in Highland Lawn Cemetery.
  * Her four grandchildren were Louis Albert Patterson (1934-1996); and Louise Blanche Donham, James Russell Donham, and Ida Louise Donham, who were the three children of Herbert and Myrtle (Jeffers) Donham. Herbert and Myrtle were our paternal great-grandparents. Herbert is buried in Denver @ Fairmount Cemetery. Still searching for Myrtle. It appears Myrtle died before her mom, Lyda, died in 1935.
  **Lyda's brothers: William is William Riley Jeffers, Jack is Andrew Jackson Jeffers, Lee is Leander R. Jeffers, and Charlie is Charles G. Jeffers. Her sister Emma was married to James R. Bright and Albert O. Cromwell. James died. Albert and her divorced. She took back her maiden name.
  Lyda had ten siblings. Two sisters died in early childhood, Jane and Laura.
