Note:   OBIT - By special correspondent, Terre Haute Tribune, May 9, 1914 - Cory, Ind., - Mrs. Amanda Fagan Jeffres, 80 years old, wife of Reece Jeffres, died of pneumonia at 8 o'clock Saturday morning at her home two miles north of here. Mr. and Mrs. Jeffres celebrated their sixtieth wedding anniversary last November. Besides her husband, Mrs. Jeffres is survived by nine children as follows: Mrs. Lyda Patterson of Terre Haute, Mrs. Lon (Louella 'Lou') Westfall of Clay City, Mrs. Emma Jeffres of Cory, Mrs. Mollie Miller of Terre Haute, and Leander, Charles, Sherman and Jack Jeffres. Jack Jeffres is in the state of Washington and until word is received from him, no arrangements will be made for the funeral. NOTE - Only eight children are mentioned by name. Missing is William Riley Jeffers (1856-1938)
