Note: Obit - Dayton Daily News - April 30, 2011 HAMMOND, Nancy L. age 63 of Brookville, passed away Saturday, April 30, 2011 in Vitas Hospice, Dayton. She was born in Dayton, Ohio on July 28, 1947 the daughter of Norbert C. & Mildred (Simpson) Dell. She retired from Dayton Surgeon's Office after 32 years, the entire staff was a second family to her. The family would like to give a special thank you to Dr. Basel Yanes and his staff for their kind words, comfort and care throughout this difficult time. She is survived by her husband John Hammond, children Candy (Wilson) DeSouza, Rob Tidwell, and Jodi Huber, grandchildren Ashley DeSouza, Katelyn DeSouza, Dylan Tidwell, Caitlyn Tidwell, Sophia Huber, and Ryan Bowling, sister Carole (Frank) Carter, nephews Kevin (Samantha) Carter and Brandon (Amber) Carter and many family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents. A gathering of family and friends will be held on Tuesday, May 3, 2011 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm in the Blessing Funeral Home, 11900 N. Dixie Dr. Tipp City. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 4, 2011 at 10:30 am in the funeral home with Chaplin Phil Hohulin officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Hills Memorial Gardens, Tipp City.
