Mr. Enman, In searching for info. re. Virgil Collins, I came across your info. posted on RootsWeb. I'm attaching U. G. Collins obit printed in The (Campbellsville, Taylor, Kentucky, USA) News-Journal, 6 Feb. 1930, p. 3.
U. G. Collins was born September 6, 1866, and died January 29, 1930, at the age of 63 years, following a brief illness of pneumonia. He was married to Josephine Cundiff about 41 years ago. In early life he united with the Missionary Baptist Church at Columbia, living a devout Christian life until death. He is survived by his wife and three children, 1 daughter, Mrs. John Sandusky, of Nicholasville, Jessamine, Kentucky, USA; two sons, Lilburn Collins, of Wadsworth, Medina, Ohio, USA; Virgil Collins of this city, and one brother, Mr. W. A. Collins, of Indianapolis, Indiana, USA. Funeral services were held January 31 at 9:30 at his home in this city, conducted by Rev. J. L. Robinson, with interment in Columbia cemetery.
