  Ruth White, 74, music teacher
  GEORGETOWN, Mass. Ruth Elizabeth (Baldwin) White died July 14 at Anna Jaques Hospital in Newburyport, Mass. She was 74.
  Born in North Caldwell, she lived in California, New York, Virginia, Mountain Lakes and Boonton before moving to Georgetown.
  She was an accompanist, church organist and private music teacher. For many years, she was an organist at Arlington Avenue Presbyterian Church in East Orange, the United Methodist Church in Morristown, the Rockaway Valley Methodist Church, and the Church of Christ Scientist and St. Catherine of Siena Roman Catholic Church, both in Mountain Lakes. She retired from her last position two years ago but continued to teach privately and play in local churches.
  Mrs. White graduated cum laude from Wilson College in Chambersburg, Pa., after majoring in the pipe organ.
  She served on the Altar Guild of St. Peters Church in Mountain Lakes and participated in their needlepoint projects.
  She also assisted with the League of Women Voters Annual Follies and the Lakeland Youth Symphony. She recently was recognized as an associate in the American Guild of Organists where she was active in the Metropolitan NewJersey Chapter.
  Survivors include three daughters, Jenifer B. Lewis of Pompton Lakes, Beverly W. Crifasi of North Caldwell and Melissa W. of Georgetown, Mass.; a son, Keith A. White of North Caldwell; a sister, Mary Jane Scherer of Wichita, Kan.; a brother, James Baldwin of Delray Beach, Fla.; seven grandchildren; and nine nieces and nephews.
  Arrangements were private.
