1900 Piatt Co. IL census (ED 134 p 3B Hammond Village) shows John W. Askins b Apr 1850 IL (bo th parents b PA [sic]; Eliza J. b Feb 1860 KY (both parents b KY); Frank B. b Oct 1883 Missou ri; Lavina L. b Apr 1886 IL; Walter F. b Feb 1888 IL; and Jessie A. dau b Jan 1891 IL. The y had been married 17 years and all four of their children were living. Piatt is just nort h of Moultrie Co.
1910 Piatt Co. IL census (ED 156 p 1a house #7 in Unity Twp, Hammond Village) lists Johnatha n N. Askins 60 IL (both parents p IL); Eliza J. wife 55 IL (fa b TN, mo b IN); Walter 22 an d Jessie A. dau 18 both b Illinois. They had been married 27 years and all four of their chi ldren were still living.
1920 Piatt Co. IL census (ED 193 p 7A house #41 in Hammond Village, Unity Twp) shows Nelson J . Askins 65 IL (both parents b IL); Eliza wife 63 KY (both parents b KY) and Lulu 28 IL.
1930 Piatt Co. IL census (ED 74-14 p 2A/250 in Hammond Village) lists J. N. Askins 80 IL (bot h parents b IL) and wife Eliza 69 KY (both parents b KY). Which of the daughters was called L ulu?? The age matches Jessie A. but the L. in Lavina's name might be for Lulu??
