  1830 Knox Co. OH census, Bloomfield Twp, shows Robert Askins with 1 male 20-30, 1 female 20-3 0; 2 males under 5 and 1 female under 5.
  1840 Guernsey Co. OH census (p 341 in Centre Twp) shows a Robert Askins with 1 male under 5 ; 1 male 10-15; 1 15-20, 1 30-40; and 1 female 5-10, 1 10-15, and 1 30-40. Is this the sam e Robert that was in Knox Co. in 1830??
  1850 Guernsey Co. OH census (p 178b #697 in Center Twp) lists Robt. Askins 47 OH; Clarissa 4 6 (state of birth not given); William 24; John 23; Clarissa 16; James 13; Margaret C. 9; an d Matilda 6, all born Ohio. Descendants of a William Erskine who died in Guernsey Co. in 1847 say that this Robt. Askin s with wife Clarissa is the son of that William Erskine, with name misspelled in the census . More research needed to clarify this.
  I haven't found this family in 1860.
