IL census (p 165 house #1047 in Wakefield) lists Abriham Askins 44 VA; Suzana h 34 Delaware; James 17; Louis 15; John 13; Harison 10; Martha 8; William 5; and Daniel 1, al l with dittos for state of birth, but I'm thinking they were born in Illinois, rather than De laware. Look for this family in 1840. Next door was 66 year old Rubin Askins b VA, living with Samuel and Rebecka Swordan.
  1870 Shelby Co. IL census (p 6 #42 Dry Point Twp) lists A. Askins 60 VA; Mrs. 54 DE; Lewis 3 5 OH; Freeman 30 IL; Daniel 21 IL; Reason 18 IL; Ann 16 IL; and Delfina 12, Illinois. Next d oor was Will Askins 25 IL with wife and son John.
