a. Note:   Based on the census readings, there was a dau born between 1825 and 1830. This daughter coul d possibly be the Nancy Askins b abt 1828 who married Matthew Hooper in 1844 in Fayette Co. I L. Her father John gave consent for her marriage, but we don't know which John he was. It w ould be either this Jonathan, or the John who married Elizabeth and was living in Fayette Co . IL by 1850. Jonathan was in Effingham Co. IL in 1850. Fayette and Effingham are adjacent.
