Note:   George was a wheelwright and had his shop next door to his brother-in-law Henry Boyer's <S-2-2> blacksmith shop in Pottsville. George's obituary as it appeared in the Pottsville Republican:
  "The Angel of Death claimed as its own, one of Pottsville's oldest residents friday morning shortly before six o'clock, when George Rishel passed to the great beyond. Deceased had been ailing for some years, but death came unexpectedly. He was born in Port Clinton and came to Pottsville when eighteen. By trade he was a wheelwright and established a shop on Coal St. on the site of the present P & R C. & I. Co. Shops. Continuing at this place for a number of years. He retired from active work about twenty years ago, and lived retired up to the time of his death. Mr. Rishel was the oldest member of the English Lutheran Church and was actively identified with all the church work. His wife preceded him in death about two years ago. He is survived by four sons William H., Ge. M. and Chas L. of the firm Rishel Bros. and C.D. Rishel of the firm Rishel and Crosby, also by four daughters Mrs. P. S. Dunkelberger of Phila., Mrs D. C. Freeman of Oil City and Misses Catharine and Minnie of Pottsville, a fifth daughter died in infancy."
