Allen H. Mengel, 91, of 2019 Ruth St., Allentown, died Wednesday at his home. He was the husband of the late Pauline (Quigg) Mengel.
He was a die maker for Hershey Foods, Hershey, for 40 years before retiring.
Born in Schuykill County, he was a son of the late Joseph and Elmira (Bankes) Mengel.
Surviving are a son Floyd of Walled Lake, Mich.; three daughters, Mrs. Arlene Mathieson and Mrs. Ella Schell, both of Phoenix, Ariz., and Mrs. Jennie Hoffer of Palmyra; a stepson, Charles Sugg of Allentown; 20 grand-children; 48 great-grandchildren, and 22 great-great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in the Rothermel Funeral Home, S. Railroad and Pine streets, Palmyra. Calling hours will be 7-9 p.m. Friday.
