  "He was well known throughout the lower end of the County, and had a large circle of friends. Deceased was of a very quite disposition, and was a good husband and kind parent ... he was employed as a railroad engineer, and between Cressona and nearby calleries. Previous to moving to Cressona, he had lived for four months on Haven Street, this place, moving here from Auburn, his native place, about a year ago."
