Mrs. Pauline "Gigg" Sugg Mengel, 66, of 2019 Ruth St., Allentown, died Monday in Allentown Hospital. She was the wife of Allen H. Mengel.
She was a sewing machine operator for Phoenix Clothes, Allentown, before retiring in 1976.
Born in Hokendauqua, she was a daughter of the late Thomas and Laverne (Dieter) Quigg.
She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, Hokendauqua.
Surviving with her husband are a son, Charles F. Sugg of Allentown; a brother Elwood of Lake Wallenpaupak; three sisters, Betty, wife of Charles Heffner, and Mrs. Ellen Lindenmuth, both of Allentown, and Ida, wife of Philip Varricchio of Baco Raton, Fla., and two grandchildren. A brother Vincent died last week.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in the John H. Brubaker Funeral Home, 3rd and Walnut streets, Catasauqua. Calling hours will be 7-8:30 p.m. Wednesday.
