  Neil A. Mengel, 37, of King of Prussia, Montgomery County, formerly of Bangor, died Thursday in Montgomery County General Hospital, Norristown. He was the husband of Jacquelyn (Kitner) Mengel.
  A graduate of East Stroudsburg University, he was a senior systems programmer for General Electric Co., King of Prussia, for the past 9 years.
  Born in Easton, he was a son of Alvin Mengel of Bangor and the late Edna (Kachline) Mengel.
  He was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, King of Prussia.
  Mengel was an Air Force veteran, serving as a captain in Washington, D.C., and at Patrick Air Force Base, Fla., for six years.
  Surviving with his widow and father are three sons, Neil A. Jr., Bryan S. and Kevin D., all at home; three brothers, Kim, Lee and Wayne; two sisters, Mrs. Kay Saylor and Shawn, and his maternal grandfather, Gordon Kachline, all of Bangor.
  Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday in the James J. Palmeri Funeral Home, Martins Creek. Calling hours will be 7-8:30 p.m. Sunday and 10 a.m. Monday until services.
