  If so, it would appear that his wife and any children preceded him in death. The Andrew Bankston who died 20 Dec. 1759 in Berkeley County, SC had a will which was proved 21 Jan. 1760 and left his estate to his brother, Peter, of Philadelphia. This included Andrew's plantation, purchased from John Palmer, Esq., and called Palmer's Spring. His tools were left to William Flint. No wife or children were name.
  Andrew had a brother Peter, and his cousin Deborah Bankston, married a John Palmer in 1742.

  Andrew BANKSON, son of John BANKSON and Eleanor Cock (6) was b. in Philade lphia, Pennsylvania and moved to South Carolina ca., 1732. D. July 6, 17 59 in Berkely County South Carolina. Andrew was b. aft. 1697 as he had to be less than 61 in 1758 in order to make the militia list that year in South Carolina. His will is dated December, 20, 1759 and proved January 21, 1760. He leaves the bulk of his estate to his brother, Peter. Other bequests are to friends in South Carolina. In a deposition made April 3, 1760 by Jacob BANKSON (aged 75) of Philadelphia, Jacob states th at he was well acquainted with John BANKSON and his wife Elinor and that he was at the solemnization of their marriage. He also states that they had six children. one of which was Andrew whom he had known from infancy until 28 years ago when they both removed to South Carolina. Another child of John and Eleanor BANKSON was Peter BANKSON and they were brothers of the whole blood.
