That record states that Giuseppe's age was 23, and Maria was seventeen. Giuseppe's occupation was a sulphur miner. (He continued being a sulphur miner for decades, as shown in the birth records of every one of his known children, below.)
Giuseppe and Maria had at least eight children.
In 1871 or 1872, in Cattolica Eraclea, Agrigento, Sicily, Italy, Giuseppe Marsala and his wife Maria Falbo had a daughter named Vincenza Marsala. In accordance with the usual Italian naming practices, the first born daughter was named after her father's mother, in this case, Vincenza. The birth was recorded in a civil birth registration book, but the birth registry books from Cattolica Eraclea for 1870 through 1872 were lost or damaged by water. Vincenza went on to marry Pietro Munisteri, who later changed his last name to Marchese. More about both of them is in this chart.
On January 29, 1874, in Cattolica Eraclea, Giuseppe Marsala and Maria Falbo had a son named Filippo Marsala. In accordance with the usual Italian naming practices, the first born son was named after his father's father, in this case, Filippo. On Filippo's birth certificate, it was written that Giuseppe was 28 years old.
At some point during the next five years, the family moved from Cattolica Eraclea to Casteltermini, still in the Province of Agrigento.
Maybe at about the same time as the move, but definitely at some point between early 1874 and August of 1879, the last name of Giuseppe's wife Maria was changed from Falbo to Farba, as shown in every available family birth and death record listed on this page.
About December of 1878, in Casteltermini, Giuseppe Marsala and Maria had a daughter named Rosalia Marsala. (The birth certificate isn't available, so it isn't known which last name Maria used at that time.) In accordance with the usual Italian naming practices, the second born daughter was named after her mother's mother, in this case, Rosalia. Young Rosalia died on August 5, 1879, in Casteltermini. On Rosalia's death certificate, Maria's last name was written as Farba. Her occupation was written as a seamstress.
On December 25, 1880, in Casteltermini, Giuseppe Marsala and Maria Farba had another daughter. Since the couple's first daughter named Rosalia had died, and since it was expected that a couple's second born daughter was named after her mother's mother, this daughter was also named Rosalia Marsala. On Rosalia's birth certificate, it was written that Giuseppe was 34 years old. This Rosalia went on to marry Luigi Marchese in 1900. More about both of them is in this chart.
On February 11, 1884, in Casteltermini, Giuseppe Marsala and Maria Farba had a son named Emmanuele Marsala. In accordance with the usual Italian naming practices, the second born son was named after his mother's father, in this case, Emmanuele. Young Emmanuele died May 17, 1885, in Casteltermini.
On October 8, 1886, in Casteltermini, Giuseppe Marsala and Maria Farba had a daughter named Emmanuela Marsala. On Emmanuela's birth certificate, it was written that Giuseppe was 40 years old. Emmanuela died November 30, 1889, in Casteltermini. She was at least the third child in the family to die at a very young age.
On March 25, 1890, in Casteltermini, Giuseppe Marsala and Maria Farba had their next son. He was named Emmanuele Marsala like the couple's previous son who had died.
On March 31, 1893 in Casteltermini, Giuseppe and Maria Farba had a daughter named Giuseppa Marsala. Giuseppe Marsala was 47 years old. Giuseppa Marsala married Enrico Scevola about July 1, 1909, in Casteltermini.
The January 7, 1900 marriage record for Giuseppe and Maria's daughter Rosalia stated that at that time Giuseppe and Maria were residents of Casteltermini.

Giuseppe and Maria's daughters Vincenza and Rosalia married brothers Pietro Munisteri/Marchese and Luigi Marchese, respectively. The children of those two couples were double cousins. Two of those double cousins, Vincenzo James Marchese, and Maria "Mary Ann" Marchese, married each other about 1923.
