Note: Notes for Ernestine Wilhelmina/Wilhelmine Gruber Hartmann/Hartman: She seems to have usually, but not always, gone by the name of Wilhelmina or Wilhelmine.
The 1900 U.S. census had an effective date of June first. Ernestine Wilhelmina Hartmann's husband G. Reichard Hartmann/Hartman had died in 1897. So in the 1900 census, Wilhelmina "Hartman" was listed as a widow. She was born in November of 1825. She lived alone in Amherst, Wisconsin. She stated her year of immigration as 1854.
