Note: Notes for Ann Nancy Winn or Wynne Mulcahy: She seems to have sometime gone by the name of Nancy. That was the name she was listed as in the 1861 census of Canada. Maybe either Ann or Nancy was a middle name. "Nancy" was also written on the 1933 death certificate of her daughter Mary Mulcahy Crowley.
While there were many people in Canadian censuses who had their name written as Winn, Wynne is the proper spelling of the name in Ireland, where Ann came from. From the May 4, 1883 <i>Lindsay Post</i> newspaper, an obituary for Ann: Downeyville Obit.-On Saturday, the 15th, ult., Mrs. Mulcahy, wife of Mr. David Mulcahy, departed this life at ten o'clock p.m. On Wednesday afternoon her remains were conveyed to the Downeyville cemetery by a very large number of friends and others.
