Note: Notes for Johanna Egan Ahern: For some unknown reason, her 1891 marriage license shows that her first name was written as Agnes.
The 1920 U.S. census shows that Johanna (listed there as "Mary") with her sister Nellie (a nickname of Ellen.) Nellie was two years younger than Johanna.
Johanna's death notice in the May 7, 1941, <i>Chicago Tribune:</i>
Johanna Ahern, nee Egan, fond wife of the late Daniel, loving mother of Mrs. George Crowley. Funeral Thursday, 9:15 a.m., from chapel, 1811 W. 103d street, to St. Barnabas' church. Interment Mount Olivet. Information, Beverly 2245. - Johanna's <a href="https://goo.gl/photos/qkHkyxLQL7KCCLFS9">1941 Cook County death certificate</a> includes information such as Johanna's date and place of birth and the names of her parents.
