By 1832, William and his wife Catherine had left Ireland and were living in Verulam Township in Victoria County in Ontario, Canada.
They had four sons.
The Census of 1851/1852 in what is now Canada shows William, 49, and Catherine, 44, still living in Verulam Township. Their four sons were no longer living with them. William was a farmer.
