Notes
a. Note:   From Kate Howard, as told to Missy Howard: Kate’s mother, Elizabeth Josephine “Bettie” Sims Blevins, sold a cow while her father, Wash, was “on vacation”. Bettie bought fabric & made clothes for herself and the girls, Ida & Sarah. When Wash found out he went & bought back the cow. —————————————- After she (Kate) and Frank were married, but before she told her family, Wash got some money for some corn shelled by her (and Frank, or her sisters?). He (Wash) bought dresses for her sisters (Ida, Paralee, Sarah), a coat for her nephew, Pete, but nothing for Kate. So her brother Louis gave her some money & she bought a dress, coat & hat. And Frank would not repay Louis.
