a. Note:   Mary Ann DAVEY born about 1817-1818 in Ohio. She married George Lucas DAVIS in Hickman County, Tenn. about 1837. On the 1830 Hickman Cty., Tenn. census is a Richard DAVY born 1780 to 1790 that has 2 daughters that match the age of my Mary Ann DAVEY. It is very possible that this Richard DAVY was the father of Mary Ann Davey. Following information received from POPLARCREK@@aol.com: "Richard Densmore Davy was said to be born in Hickman co. in 1827. He later shows up in Hardin co. after West Tennessee is opened to settlement. Richard D. Davy married Racheal Margaret Dodds on Feb. 7, 1855. She was the dau. of Josiah Dodds. I believe Richard Davy (1820 & 1830 Hickman Co. census) had at least one brother, Jehu. Jehu shows up in Hickman & Hardin Counties' censuses, and was refered to as "Uncle Jehu" in a letter dated 1846. Richard married Elizabeth Hill in Nashville, Tn. on Aug. 18, 1813."
