Note: Friedrich August arrived at the Port of New York with his father and step mother on April 29, 1851. On June 1, 1858 Gottfried Bilke and Augustus Bilke of Sauk County purchased Federal land at Mineral Point, Wisconsin. He was found on the 1860 Merrimack Township, Prairie duSac Post Office, Sauk County, Wisconsin census. He is married and his wife' name is Sophia, age 30, born in Germany. They have three children; Joseph age 6, Siegisbert age 7 and Laura age 6/12. I have not been able to find any record of this family after the 1860 census. Minnie Muriel Brown's notes show a brother of William Bilke was lost at sea on return trip to America, this may have been Friedrich August Bilke.
