  Stanley was engaged to be married to Agnes Muir Anderson in 1944. According to family history, Stanley was offered 10,000 pound to marry Lydia by Ernest Levinson. Lydia had health issues including siezures making her mentally unstable. The money was offered to 'take Lydia off the hands of the family'.
