  Aug. 20, 1932 - Nov. 13, 2014
  Charles F. Schumann Jr. passed away on Nov. 13 in Salt Lake City, Utah surrounded by his children. He was born Aug. 20, 1932 in Jersey City, NJ to Charles F. Schumann Sr. and Mary McCarthy Schumann. He was their first child and older brother to Clifford and Gregory.
  Charles joined the U. S. Naval Reserves in 1952, and shortly thereafter, went on Active Duty with the U.S. Air Force until 1956. He was stationed in Japan for most of those years.
  As a civilian he worked for the Bank of America, the San Diego Zoo, Reynolds Aluminum, and the Del Monte Company. He retired with Olympic Medical in Seattle as an expert buyer of medical grade steel.
  Charles loved to cook, laugh and learn. He was a voracious reader. He loved Opera, Jazz, Big Band music, Broadway musicals, Classical music (especially Mozart), Salsa/Latin-American music, and live theater. For the last 11 years of his life he lived in the Saratoga Senior Apartments in Vacaville where he had many friends. His beloved, niece Susan Tweet (Rivas) and her family lived near-by and they shared many good times together. Charles was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife, Tomiko Hiroki, his second wife, Milida Luz Sol Schumann and his younger brother, Gregory Schumann.
  He is survived by his brother, Clifford Schumann (Lorraine) of Pittstown, NJ, ten grand-children, six nieces, four nephews and his children, Pamela Lyman of Cave Junction, OR, Christopher Schumann (Mary) of West Valley City, UT, Tina Schumann (Paul Traeger) of Seattle, WA, Ricardo Fiske (Ara) of Escondido, CA and Henry L. Fiske Jr. (Christine) of Louisville, KY. His ashes and those of his wife Milida will be interred in St. Gertrude's Cemetery, Colonia, NJ, near his mother, father and brothers grave. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
