Minnie's grandson, Delmar W. Westerman was the son of either Emma, Susan or Ella Alderson. His dad's name was Otto. He was born In Lennox, Lincoln County, South Dakota on July 10, 1924. He died February 22, 1945 of wounds received in action on Iwo Jima. He was buried at sea. He attended the Reformed church at Chancellor, Turner County, South Dakota. Enlisted in Marine Corps on November 1, 1943. Was in the 28th Marines, 5th Division. He had a sister Delores, and brothers Darrel and Dale. Dale preceded Delmar in death in August 1942.
