Notes
a. Note:   e, because it is possible there is a lead in it through family ties. Someone had to tell Willis or Stella that Mildred (Nonnie) was available for adoption, could have come from family or church affiliations. If not, they were still part of her early life, so to take it from her didn't seem fair.
Mildred applied for her Social Security card on October 2, 1942 in Birmingham, AL. Lived at 8311 10 Ave. North Birmingham and was employed by Thornton Realty Co., Massey Building in Birmingham.
Mildred was living in Genoa City, DeKalb County, Illinois in 1920 census with Willis and Stella.
  SS# 420-22-4102 (issued Alabama)

Note:   Adopted by Willis Spencer Harris and Stella Josephina Hurd, married March 13, 1884 in Winnebego County, Illinois. No details on adoption available yet. Their family trees are included in Nonnie's tre
