Note: OBITUARY BYRON - Helen E. Reber, 89, died Sunday, November 27, 1994 in Neighbor's Nursing Home after a long illness. Born February 18, 1905 in Leaf River, the daughter of Louis and Jennie Hoverland Kramer. Married Hibbard H. Reber, August 14, 1924, in Rockford, he died March 7, 1978. Member of United Church of Byron. Graduated from Leaf River High School and taught at White Eagle Grade School for one year prior to her marriage. Survivors include her son, Hibbard (Shirley) Reber of Byron; daughter Marilyn (Gene) Marshall of Mount Morris; six grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; and eight step-great grandchildren; brother, Howard (Helen) Cramer of Egan; two sisters, Dorothy Stine and Nellie Mae Wilson of Rockford. Also predeceased by brothers, Ralph and Fred Cramer, sister, Luella Hagen, and granddaughter, Vicki Reber. Funeral service at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, November 30, in Farrell-Holland Funeral Home, 506 W. Merchant St., Byron, with the Rev. Michael Marshall, pastor of United Methodist Church, Barrington, and the Rev. Jane Knowles, associate pastor of the United Church of Byron, co-officating. Burial in Byron Cemetery. Visitation 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home. Memorial established for Neighbor's Nursing Home.
