Note: OBITUARY
Luella M. Hagen, 76, Rockford, formerly of Leaf River, died on Sunday, September 25 in Providence Hospital, Anchorage, Alaska after a sudden illness.
She was born November 18, 1911 in Leaf River, the daughter of Louis and Jennie Hoverland Kramer.
She married Orvel G. Hagen in Rockford on June 3, 1933. He died March 25, 1985.
Mrs. Hagen graduated from Leaf River schools, attended Northern Illinois State Teachers College, DeKalb, and taught in rural one-room Leaf River schools.
Survivors include son Richard (Lynn) Hagen, Anchorage; two grandchildren, Michael, Seattle and Michelle, Anchorage; two brothers, Fred Cramer, Melbourne Beach, FL and Howard "Jim" Cramer, Leaf River; three sisters, Helen Reber, Byron, Dorothy (Harold) Stine, Allentown, PA, and Mrs. Nellie Mae (Paul) Wilson, Egan.
She was predeceased by a brother, Ralph.
Services were on Friday, September 30 in Morrison-Genandt Funeral Home, Byron, with the Rev. Patrick Coakley, pastor of Pine Grove Free Methodist Church, Rockford, officiating.
Burial in Lightsville Cemetery, Leaf River, and a memorial is being established.
