  MORRIS AUGUST, ORANGEVILLE
  Morris August, 80, died Sunday afternoon at 3:30 o'clock at a hospital in Freeport, after an illness of several days. He was born April 2, 1859 at Covington, Ky., and came to Stephenson County in 1868. He had made his home for many years with his daughter, Mrs. Walter Hoffmeister, Orangeville.
  Surviving are Mrs. Hoffmeister, and one other daughter, Mrs. Elmer Yeoman, Dakota, and an adopted son, Kenneth August, Rockford. Other surviving relatives are: Mrs. Anna Emery, Bridgeport, Conn., a sister; Mrs. Lena Fogle, Leaf River, and Mrs. Mary Bearman, Mt. Morris, half-sisters, and a half-brother, Louis Kramer, Leaf River; four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren also survive. His wife and a half-sister preceded him in death, the former having died in 1929.
  Funeral services will be held Thursday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock at the Hoffmeister home and at 2 o'clock at the Rock Grove Evangelical Church. Rev. E. O. Fehr, Rev. T. L. Suehr will officiate. Burial will be in the Dakota Cemetery.
