GULFPORT -- Roy Albert Sr., 78, died Friday Sept. 18, 1998, in Gulfport. Mr. Albert was a native of Broussard, La., and a lifelong resident of Gulfport. He was an Army veteran of World War II and Korea and was a retired longshoreman. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Gulfport. He was preceded in death by five brothers and two sisters. Survivors include his wife, Elsie Holliman Albert; three sons, Roy Albert Jr. and Phil Albert, all of Gulfport, and Dennis Ray Albert of Long Beach; three daughters, Diane Bosarge and Jane Yates, both of Gulfport, and Susan Rhodes of Saucier; 17 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
