  Hi Gary, Clerville/Clairville Albert married the sister born in 1844. The sister born in 1859 was not old enough in 1867/1868 to have married him. Also, many times people married first in the courthouse and later in the church. I have seen this over and over again. So the marriage a year later was the church validation of the prior courthouse marriage. You noted the spelling of Louise for one of the children's church records....the others had Lucie/Lucy...remember in the French language Lucie and Louise sound very much alike. The parish priests were dealing with people who many times could not read or write. They had to rely on how the names sounded to transcribe them into the church records. This is why I look for all variations on how names are spelled and do not read anything into Lucie vs. Louise...they are the same woman.
