Funeral services were held Aug. 1, 2000, at Hughart and Beard Funeral Home, Hopkinsville. He was born July 31, 1931, in Elkton, Ky., son of Joe Willis Cole Sr. and Willa Miller Cole. Mr. Cole was a retired deputy director of Industrial Operations, Fort Campbell, Ky. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of the Korean conflict. He was a member of St. John United Methodist Church, Hopkinsville Masonic Lodge, Rizpah Temple, Kentucky Colonel and VFW Post #1913, Hopkinsville. In addition to his mother of Elkton, survivors include his wife, Janice Walker Cole; two daughters, Debbie Cole Carroll, Yorktown, Va., and Linda Cole McCormack, Little Rock, Ark.; a brother, James W. Cole, Okinawa, Japan; and three grandchildren. COLE Charles Louis Cole, 68, Skyline Park Drive, died at 5:50 a.m. Sunday, July 30, 2000, at St. Thomas Hospital, Nashville, Tenn., following a long illness. Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Hughart and Beard Funeral Home, with the Rev. Dr. Philip D. Hill and Dr. Frank Nash officiating. Burial will be in Glenwood Cemetery, Elkton. Visitation will be from 5 until 8 tonight. A native of Elkton, he was born July 31, 1931, the son of Willa Miller Cole, Elkton, and the late Joe Willis Cole Sr. He was the retired deputy director of industrial operations at Fort Campbell and was a Navy veteran. He was a member of the Masonic lodge, was a Shriner and a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. He was a member of the St. John United Methodist Church. In addition to his mother, survivors include his wife, Janice Walker Cole; two daughters, Debbie Cole Carroll, Yorktown, Va., Linda Cole McCormack, Little Rock, Ark.; a brother, James W.
