a. Note:   Obituary MRS ROSE KOONTZ Mrs Rose koontz, 77, died at 12:30 this morning at Beatty Memorial hospital after an illness of eight years. She was born June 4, 1882 in Union Mills to Mr and Mrs Pulaski Koontz. She resided in the LaPorte county area for 40 years, going to Whiting from there. She was a member of the Christian church and the Royal Neighbors. Surviving are a number of nieces and nephews. Two brothers and five sisters preceded her in death. Funeral services will be Friday at 2:30 at the Weaver Funeral home in Westville with the Rev. C N Johnson officiating. Burial will be in the Westville cemetery.
