a. Note:   Obituary MRS EFFIE K HILTON Funeral services for Mrs Effie Koontz Hilton, 91, a native of Clinton township, were held today at 1:30 at the Oexmann Funeral Home in Hammond. Mrs Hilton died at her home in Hammond Saturday. Burial was in the Westville cemetery. Among survivors are Della and George Koonyz, sister and brother of the deceased woman. Mrs Hilton was the daughter of Sobieski and Margaret Koontz and was reared in Clinton township. She was married to William Fletcher Hilton Nov 14, 1896. Her husband proceded her in death. Thjey lived in Hammond for 60 years. Mrs Hilton was active in the Christian church in Hammond and the Daughters of Liberty there. Survivors besides LaPorte county relatives included two daughters and a son and another sister, all of the Hammond and Chicago area.
