K. xxxxxx Sole Judge of Said County Your petitioner John W Campbell a resident of the County and State aforesaid represents and shows that he is the father of Martha Ann Campbell aged eleven years, Sarah Jennette Campbell aged nine years and Benjamin F Campbell aged six years. That they are the children of your petiioner by Amanda Campbell his wife now deceased, who was formerly Amanda Shaw, one of the children heirs of Benjamin Shaw deceased. That said minors inherit from their mother, who inherits from her father Benjamin Shaw certain Real Estate in the County and State aforesaid which is worth about five hundred dollars. That said Real Estate requires care, that their is no guardian appointed to take care of the interest of said heirs, and that unless someone is appointed to take charge of said Real Estate their interests they must suffer. Your petitioner therefore prays that he may be appointed guardian of the estate of his minor children. K. xxxxxx Judge of the Laporte Probate Court The prayer of your petitioner Charles Campbell respectfully represents that he is the surety on the bond of John W Campbell the guardian of the above named minors xxx Martha Ann Campbell, Sarah Jenette Campbell and Benjamin F Campbell, minor heirs of Amanda Campbell late of LaPorte County deceased that said guardian has absconded from the State. He therefore prays that said guardian may be removed from said trust and another person appointed in his stead and a in duty bound he will ever pray. He further says that Martha M Campbell, Sarah J Campbell, Benjamin F Campbell, Margaret Campbell and "blank" Campbell reside in LaPorte County and William M Campbell resides with Lewis Shirley his guardian in the State of Illinois.
