a. Note:   After her first husband died, Margaret and her son went to live with her father Thomas Lewis Eaton. Later in 1883 she married again to John Gemberling in Berrien County, Michigan. John died in 1884 in St Joseph County, Michigan. Margaret moved back to Porter County, Indiana sometime before 1900 because we find her working as a Housekeeper for the Bozarth family in Valparaiso, and is living with them at 506 N Franklin Ave. In 1920 she is still living there but no longer a housekeeper. In 1930 she is at 153 S Morgan in Valparaiso, and she ownes the house. She lives here until she dies. **************************************************************************************************************************** Obituary MRS MARGARET S GEMBERLING Mrs margaret S Gemberling, age 83, a resident of Valparaiso for 50 years passed away at 10 o'clock yesterday morning at 153 Morgan Street, Valparaiso. She suffered a lingering illness for the past eight months. Mrs Gemberling was born in La Porte county on March 28, 1854, the daughter of Louis and Margaret eaton. Her mother passed away when she was nine years old, leaving a large family of children. The deceased woman first was married to George S Siegles, who died in 1879. Five months after his death a son, George B Siegles, was born. When the Spanish-American War broke out, he enlisted and died in Cuba in 1901. Later Mrs Siegles married John W Gemberlinga Civil War veteran. Surviving are a brother, L A Eaton, and a sister, Mrs W E Cites, both of Wanatah; another sister, Mrs Nancy J harris of Arnold, Nebr, and many nieces and nephews. Mrs Gemberling was life-long member of the Christian church and a member of the Women's Relief corps for many years. Services will be held at 2:30 tomorrow afternoon at the W E Cites home, two miles north of Wanatah on State Road 43. Friends may call at the Bartholomew chapel, Valparaiso, today and tomorrow until 11 a.m..
