Note: Obituary Mrs Lydia Eaton Passes on. Funeral services were held this afternoon for Mrs Lydia Eaton, age 81, of Union Mills, mother of Trustee Edward Eaton, of Clinton Twp. Mrs Eaton has been in poor health for a number of years, and she passed away at her home at Union Mills Monday afternoon, after several months of serious illness. Mrs Eaton was born Nov 22, 1856, at Monnon but had spent the greater part of her life at Union Mills. She was united in marriage to Millard F Eaton, Sept 11, 1878. He preceded her in death. She is survived by two sons, Edward, of Clinton Twp., and Ralph of Whiting, and three daughters, Mrs Flora Hewitt, of Aurora, IL, Mrs Otto Dux, of Valparaiso, and Miss Luella Eaton, at home, and one sister Mrs Cora McDaniels, of Valparaiso. Mrs Eaton was a member of the Wanatah Christian church. **************************************************************************************************************************** Obituary Mrs Lydia Elizabeth Eaton, daughter of YThomas and Lydia Hubbard, was born in Monnon, IN on Nov 22, 1856. She passed away last Monday, July 25, 1938. During girlhood she joined the Baptist church of Valparaiso, later taking her letters in the Christian church of Wanatahh in which she remained a member until her death. In September, 1878, she was united in marriage to Millard F Eaton of Wanatah. In 1915 she moved to Union Mills where she lived at the time of her death. Until her health failed, Mrs Eaton was a member of the Women's Relief corps and the Ladies Aid society of the Bethel Presbyterian church of Union Mills. Left to mourn her loss are five children, Edwin eaton of Wanatah, Ralph Eaton of Whiting, Mrs Flora Hewitt of Aurora, IL, Mrs Eula Dux of Valparaiso, Luella Eaton of Union Mills; three grandchildren, Clyde and Robert hewitt and Lawrence Eaton; a sister, Mrs Cora McDaniel of Valparaiso, and other relatives and friends. Preceeding her in death were her husband, three children and one brother. Funeral services were held Thursday afternoon at Kosanle brothers chapel. The Rev H B Parker of Delphi officiated and burial was in the Union Mills cemetery.
