Note: Obit from The Daily Missoulina 26, 29, 30 Sep 1906 The funeral of Mrs Elsie Burdette, wife of John Burdette will be held from the Methodist church at 2 o'clock this afternoon. The casket will be opened at Marsh's chapel from 10 o'clock this morning until 1 o'clock this afternoon to alow friends to view the remains and pay their respects to the beloved dead. The casket will not be opened at the church. Rev J W Tait, pastor of the Methodist church, will preach the funeral sermon. The Knights of Pythias, the Royal Neighbors and the Fraternal Brotherhood will attend the service. MRS BURDETTE DIES AT HOSPITAL Wife of John Burdette and the Mother of Six Children Passes Away Mrs Elsie Burdette, wife of John H Burdette, whose home is at 402 Madison street, died yesterday afternoon at 4:30 o'clock at the Sisters' hospital of typhoid-pneumonia. Mrs burdette had been sick but a comparitively short time. It was less than a week ago that her symptoms caused her family alarm and yesterday she was taken to the hospital, where everything possible was done for her. A son, frank, is at the hospital suffering from typhoid fever. He was reported seriously sick. last night. Mr Burdette is prostrated with grief and so seriously did his great loss affect him last night that he was placed under the care of a physician. Mrs Burdette was a devoted wife and an affectionate mother. She leaves six children, the youngest of whom is but three months old. There are three boys and three girls. Earl, Frank, Willie, Mattie, Georgia, and Maymie. Friends and neighbors have taken charge of the younger children until arrangements can be made. Mr Burdette is a member of the Knights of Pythias lodge and of the Modern Woodmen of America. The Royal Neighbors, of which order Mrs Burdette was a member, and the Knights of Pythias, will conduct the funeral services. No arrangements have been made as yet for the funeral, owing to the illness of Mr Burdette.
