Notes

Note: John came West when a small boy to Montana settling on a ranch near Missoula called the Milk Ranch. He worked at the farm and also carried mail for his father who had the contract for delivery by horseback requiring two days to make the round trip. Later came to Idaho with his parents. Settling near Grangeville in the foothills south of town. He worked with his father hauling wood. After his father passed away his mother and younger brothers moved to Spokane. Allie remained in Idaho working various jobs and for several years for the Schwabauch Mill. March 30, 1898 he married Alice Pearl Eastman and had two children. Earl E. who passed away at 8yrs of Diptheria and Homer. Lived in Grangeville for 47years.
